Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Chandler, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading suppliers in qualifying products to meet customers' needs in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in manufacturing processes for machining and secondary processes.
- Lead technical teams in supplier problem resolution using quality tools such as 8D, DOE, FMEA, and POR.
- Conduct supplier assessments of new and existing suppliers, with emphasis on manufacturing capabilities and quality management systems.
- Develop and audit quality control systems to ensure suppliers' manufacturing processes are in place to produce reliable products in a repeatable manner.
- Manage supplier qualification projects and provide regular updates to cross-functional teams.
- Interface with internal customers on quality issues and participate in failure analysis and corrective action efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems and tools.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on work experience in secondary process qualification, lab analysis, and test.
- Strong working knowledge of all phases of measuring, tools, and CMM operations.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T.
- Secondary process experience/knowledge such as anodizing, surface coating, material conversion process, electropolishing, precision chemical cleaning, and etc.
- Hands-on experience in supplier assessment, qualification, audit, and management.
- Strong passion and aptitude for problem-solving in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to communicate technical content in English.
- Strong project management skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 why's, DOE, etc.) and quality engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of SPC programs such as Minitab.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Software – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Lean/six sigma principles and application.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ CQA, CQT, or CQE certification.
