Job Summary:

The Bindery Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting operators with efficient machine operation by managing the flow of materials onto and off binding lines. This position also involves supporting the mailing process and assisting with hand-related operations within the Finishing Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the flow of materials onto and off binding lines to ensure efficient machine operation.
  • Support the mailing process by preparing and processing mail items.
  • Assist with hand-related operations, including packaging and shipping.
  • Work collaboratively with operators to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform work productively and safely.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Continuous standing, frequent walking, and occasional sitting, crouching, and reaching/working overhead required.
  • Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required.
