Job Summary

Bryan Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental policies, accreditation guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including adult cardiac ultrasound, pediatric cardiac ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to reading physicians, including preliminary impressions and final reports.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and departmental maintenance, including cleaning, disinfection, and use of appropriate solutions.
  • Transport patients and medical equipment within the department and facility.
  • May cross-train to perform additional non-invasive diagnostic procedures, including electrocardiograms, long-term cardiac monitors, and exercise stress testing.
  • Inform leadership of any patient, equipment, or environmental safety concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with facility personnel, medical staff, patients, families, and outside agencies to ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and positive working environment.
  • Participate in departmental quality initiatives and lab accreditation activities.
  • Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation, responding within 30 minutes of activation.
  • Participate in training of ultrasound students and new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Operate mobile ultrasound equipment in all areas of the hospital.
  • Provide education to patients or patient representatives regarding the procedure(s) performed.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and department projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training.
  • Credential in at least two (2) of the following registry specialties: Adult Cardiac Sonography, Pediatric Cardiac Sonography, Vascular Technology, or Advanced Cardiac Sonography.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) with AED certification within 30 days of start date.
  • Valid driver's license and responsible driving record.
