Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned and enthusiastic General Manager to oversee the TOCA Soccer Training Facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our team delivers outstanding training experiences while maintaining the facility's cleanliness, aesthetic appeal, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports, take ownership of the facility, and create an inviting atmosphere for players, parents, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management (25% of Role):
- Supervise daily operations of the TOCA Soccer Training Facility, ensuring a tidy and visually appealing environment for all guests.
- Lead a diverse team, including coaches and front-desk staff, promoting a collaborative and customer-oriented culture.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to provide optimal coverage for training sessions and customer service.
- Establish and enforce maintenance protocols to guarantee a safe and well-kept training environment.
- Adopt a guest-focused approach, consistently surpassing expectations and addressing concerns swiftly to maintain a positive experience.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to facility upkeep, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Develop strategies for revenue growth and performance across all offerings, leveraging community events and online engagement.
- Oversee training sessions and events, assessing their effectiveness in enhancing player development and analyzing feedback for continuous improvement.
Leadership & Team Development (50% of Role):
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Operations to recruit and nurture management talent, ensuring a pipeline for future growth.
- Guide a motivated team through regular performance evaluations and partner with HR to address any personnel matters.
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, fostering a positive workplace culture.
Community Engagement & Marketing (25% of Role):
- Work with corporate sales and marketing teams to develop and execute new brand initiatives, focusing on client acquisition and retention.
- Engage with the community to strengthen the center's presence and relationships.
TOCA Culture:
- Embody and promote our core values of excellence, integrity, innovation, and community throughout the facility.
- Collaborate with leadership to maintain a cohesive culture and high staff engagement levels.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant management experience in operations (preferably in retail, recreational sports, hospitality, or entertainment).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and across various departments.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Availability for full-time work during non-traditional hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proven track record in driving operational excellence and maintaining a clean environment.
- Financial literacy to assess the impact of operational decisions.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with all stakeholders.
