ATC MOUNT LAUREL IS HIRING FOR EMERGENCY ROOM TRAVEL CONTRACTS FOR REGISTERED NURSES

Shift Information: 3x12 hour night shifts.

Floating Requirements: Travelers may be required to float across multiple facilities based on operational needs.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years in an emergency care setting.

Certifications Required: Must possess ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.

Patient Care Ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients.

Charting System: Proficiency in Epic is necessary.

Uniform Policy: Any color scrubs are permitted.

Vaccination Requirement: Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including the COVID booster.

JOB SUMMARY

The EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT REGISTERED NURSE (RN) is a vital healthcare professional who, through extensive training and experience, possesses a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge essential for caring for patients facing life-threatening conditions. This role involves conducting complex clinical assessments, administering advanced therapies, and implementing critical interventions. The RN is responsible for initiating nursing care, providing health education, and delivering counseling that promotes recovery and well-being. Care is delivered in alignment with the nursing practice act and under the supervision of designated healthcare leaders within the Emergency Care Unit.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree).

LICENSURE

Must hold a current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.

EXPERIENCE

At least one year of experience as an RN in an Emergency Department within the last three years.

CREDENTIALS

Current CPR certification at least to the ACLS level; TNCC and/or PALS as required by the facility; and other health screenings as mandated by specific facilities and regulatory agencies.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Various healthcare settings with potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other infectious materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to ATC policies and procedures.
  • Follow nursing policies and procedures of the client facility.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on individual needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments as dictated by patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians in a timely manner.
  • Document patient assessments and responses to interventions accurately.
  • Initiate emergency protocols as required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide care in a respectful, non-discriminatory manner, considering cultural diversity.
  • Advocate for patient rights and advance directives.
  • Report patient conditions to appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Engage in continuing education to maintain competency in emergency care.
  • Demonstrate effective delegation skills.
