Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Post Closing Specialist to join our team at Black Hills Federal Credit Union. In this role, you will be responsible for processing residential mortgage loans and preparing post-closing documents. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our mortgage department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process residential mortgage loans and prepare post-closing documents
  • Review closing documents for completeness and obtain necessary underwriting conditions
  • Assist in quality control efforts of the mortgage department
  • Coordinate with originators, closers, and underwriting staff to clear post-closing investor stipulations
  • Remit payments for FHA, VA, PMI, and USDA fees on loans after closing
  • Assist mortgage closers with registering MERS on secondary market files
  • Obtain and advance purchase advices onto Mortgage Servicing to post wires after loans are purchased
  • Review, process, scan, and ship recorded mortgage documents and final title policies to investors in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Two-year college level of language, math, and reasoning skills
  • Two years' experience in a related field with equal responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of credit union products and services
  • Working knowledge of organization's policies and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal real estate lending regulations
Working Conditions

This is a desk assignment with limited physical effort required. The job requires a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. The ability to function in a fast-paced area and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
