Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Rooms.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling and organizing instruments and supplies.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and retract tissue.
  • Ensure aseptic technique and universal precautions are maintained throughout the procedure.
  • Participate in OR turnover between cases and assist with stocking and replenishing supplies.
  • May provide business support to the department, including administrative tasks.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and current basic life support certification is necessary. Registration with the State Regulatory Agency is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or two years of operating room experience is preferred. Additional related education and/or experience is also beneficial.
