Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified instructor to teach courses in political science at Oregon State University. This is a fixed-term, non-tenure-track position, and the successful candidate will be appointed for the 2024-2025 academic year. The position will be based on the Corvallis campus, and the instructor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Methods.

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in political science or a related field, and teaching experience at the college/university level. A doctoral degree in political science or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, and a strong track record of teaching and mentoring students.

The instructor will work closely with the faculty and staff in the Political Science Department to develop and teach courses that meet the needs of our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced instructor to join our team and contribute to the academic success of our students.

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
