The City of Marshall, MN is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws, maintaining public order, and providing exceptional service to our community.

• Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
• Investigate crimes and incidents, gather evidence, and prepare reports
• Provide emergency response and assistance to the public
• Participate in community policing initiatives and build relationships with community members
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and departments to achieve common goals

• Eligibility to be licensed as a Minnesota Peace Officer
• Valid Minnesota Class D driver's license
• Successful completion of civil service examination and background check
• Successful completion of the department's Field Training Program and probationary period
• Ability to communicate effectively and remain calm in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures related to law enforcement

• Two-year degree in Law Enforcement or related field
• Law enforcement experience

The Police Officer will work in a fast-paced environment, often in high-stress situations. The position requires the ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Police Officer must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
