Job Overview: The Extrusion Technician plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation of extrusion machinery and maintaining high-quality standards throughout production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting and executing shop orders with precision.
  • Documenting adherence to quality specifications and standards.
  • Completing training for lift truck operation and demonstrating safe driving practices.
  • Setting up and operating winders, as well as constructing reels.
  • Counting, stacking, labeling, and packaging finished products accurately.
  • Facilitating effective shift transitions through proper handoff procedures.
  • Complying with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Participating in safety orientation sessions.
  • Utilizing job-specific IT tools and systems proficiently.
  • Operating various equipment including choppers, belt tables, lift tables, and packaging machinery.
  • Submitting necessary Job Safety Behavioral Observations.
  • Reporting any workplace injuries or incidents promptly.
  • Engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Actively participating in all manufacturing activities.
  • Identifying and eliminating waste in all areas of operation.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in basic math and measurement skills.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
