About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ECAD Librarian to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Enterprise Program Management (EPM) team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a company-wide database of schematic symbol and footprint libraries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and administer ECAD library elements, including electronic schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models.
  • Work closely with design engineers, component engineers, and supply chain to create EEE parts and maintain an up-to-date and accurate parts database.
  • Drive process decisions, automate, and support the integration of our library with other internal tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to ensure seamless integration and accuracy.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience creating/maintaining an ECAD library.
  • Basic understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Cadence or Altium CAD software.
  • Experience creating/modifying 3D models (CREO preferred).
  • Knowledge and application of IPC PCB design standards, including aerospace/space-based requirements.
  • Knowledge of ECAD library management practices and ECAD library development principles to minimize design risks and hazards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong task ownership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associates Degree (or higher) in electronics field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using a PLM system (Windchill preferred).
  • Experience writing scripts to automate routine tasks associated with ECAD applications, databases, and libraries.
  • Certifications such as CID, CIS, or CSE.
