Your Role:
The Security Operations Specialist is tasked with managing and overseeing a computerized security and surveillance system within a facility.
They must be adept at identifying and responding to security incidents, maintaining communication with staff, and accurately documenting all occurrences.
This position requires keen attention to detail and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and operate an electronic security and surveillance system, taking corrective actions for security breaches and equipment malfunctions by directing security personnel, advising supervisors, or contacting local authorities.
Execute various tasks such as unlocking or securing electronic doors, placing devices in access or secure modes, and maintaining inventory and checks of equipment.
Maintain system logs by recording relevant comments regarding events as they happen, and gather necessary information from the system to assess the status of security, mechanical equipment, or the system itself.
Perform routine maintenance on the system, initiate alarm summaries and trend reports, and take appropriate actions to rectify issues or enlist maintenance personnel in case of system failures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
At least one (1) year of experience in law enforcement and/or security roles, operating computer systems, and/or utilizing automated security or surveillance technologies.
