Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. You will lead a team of pharmacy technicians and cashiers, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmacy operations, including patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
  • Lead performance management of technicians, including making decisions and recommendations regarding discipline and termination.
  • Assist in monitoring that all pharmacy and team member licensures, registrations, and certifications are active and in good standing.
  • Develop and implement training programs for pharmacy technicians.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous people management/leadership experience.
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
