About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Safe and Effective Care: Utilize the nursing process to provide safe, dependable, and effective care to patients, independently and as part of a team.
  • Apply the Synergy Model: Use the Synergy Model for Care in practice to personalize care for each patient and family, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document Patient Care: Accurately and thoroughly document the nursing process, using appropriate formats and tools to ensure clear and concise communication.
  • Evaluate Patient Progress: Regularly evaluate patient progress, adjusting the plan of care as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Advocate for Patients: Recognize patient needs and advocate on their behalf, taking into account their cultural and individual differences.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Licensure and Certification: Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board, with BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • Additional Requirements: Exceptions may apply for individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN.
