Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify movement dysfunction and develop effective treatment plans to restore and promote improvement in physical function and wellness.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on their physical therapy plan of care, expected outcomes, and home exercises to promote independence and optimal recovery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with on-site physicians, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve the highest quality of care.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, including daily notes, discharge summaries, and other relevant records.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in physical therapy, and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance professional growth and development.
- Education and Licensure: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program, and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic setting, with proficiency in medical terminology, acute care, physiology, and anatomy knowledge.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Current BLS Certification and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
