Job Summary

Lincoln Memorial University is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator to join our team as a Clinical Skills Instructor. This is a full-time position responsible for providing learning support and instruction for osteopathic medical students in the areas of clinical and interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement simulation-based training programs for osteopathic medical students
  • Collaborate with faculty to design and deliver clinical skills training sessions
  • Train and evaluate students on clinical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Provide feedback and coaching to students on their performance
  • Develop and maintain simulation technologies and equipment
  • Assist with daily administrative operations of the simulation lab
  • Participate in faculty development and evaluation of simulation teaching strategies
Requirements
  • Nursing degree (LPN, RN, or BSN) or certified military medic (E4 or above) or paramedic with at least 3 years of experience
  • Recent experience as an educator or skills instructor
  • Knowledge and expertise in medical-surgical nursing
  • Experience with life support and other clinical skills training (e.g., ACLS, BLS, scrub and gown, IV puncture, intubation)
  • Experience with simulation as an educational tool or with high-fidelity simulation manikins
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with clinical evaluation software (e.g., B-Line)
  • Knowledge of state and federal codes, statutes, and regulations governing Tennessee
