Grounds Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team at Gallery Residential. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the exterior physical features of our communities meet the highest standards of appearance and curb appeal.

• Inspect and maintain the community's grounds, amenities, and exterior spaces to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed by the Service Director and Community Director.
• Remove litter, debris, and pet droppings from common areas and ensure all spaces are neat and free of clutter.
• Transfer trash and recyclables to designated areas and maintain storage facilities.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or safety concerns to supervisors and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or a related field.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with safety and policy manuals.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Mathematical skills to complete basic maintenance duties.
• Rudimentary knowledge of company software and ability to access and perform standard tasks.
• Current valid driver's license required.

Incumbents work both inside and outside of apartment buildings and in all areas of the property, including amenities. Groundskeepers have frequent exposure to outside elements, including temperature, weather, odors, and/or landscape, which may be unpleasant and/or hazardous.

Incumbents must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities and must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.

Groundskeepers must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds independently and one hundred and fifty (150) pounds with assistance.
