Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Asphalt Paving Lead to join our team at Seaton Paving & Sitework Inc. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety excellence and a proven track record in asphalt paving operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Paving Equipment: The Asphalt Paving Lead will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, broom tractors, lute, and tack trucks.
  • Supervise Crew Members: The successful candidate will direct and supervise the activities of the crew in the performance of their regular duties, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Inspect and Analyze Work: The Asphalt Paving Lead will inspect work performed to ensure it meets specifications and is on schedule, and will analyze construction equipment needs and trucking requirements.
  • Maintain Records and Reports: The successful candidate will maintain daily records of all significant project facts, crew timesheets, events, and conditions.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: The Asphalt Paving Lead will ensure that all crew members are following safety protocols and company policies, and will aid in implementing environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies.
Requirements
  • Experience in Asphalt Paving: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving operations.
  • Knowledge of Traffic Control Standards: The Asphalt Paving Lead will have a strong understanding of traffic control standards and will be able to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and will be able to motivate and direct the crew to achieve their goals.
  • Commitment to Safety Program: The Asphalt Paving Lead will be committed to the company's safety program and practices, and will ensure that all crew members are following safety protocols.
