Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Radiology Director to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Pediatric Imaging Section and providing high-quality sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide training to medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric radiology.
  • Continue to promote professional relationships with all Pediatric sub-specialties to foster interdisciplinary research.
  • Devote time and effort to academic service-related activities, including committee work, professional growth, and other assignments.
  • Provide high-quality sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients.
  • Lead the Pediatric Imaging Section as Section Chief, optimizing clinical service, providing mentorship to junior faculty, and collaborating with General Pediatrics and the Pediatric sub-specialties.
Requirements
  • ABR certification or documentation of passing core component of the ABR examination.
  • Fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology.
  • Experience as a pediatric radiologist in a high-volume Radiology department.
  • Leadership ability and dedication to our tripartite mission of patient-centered care, education, and research.
  • Current license to practice medicine in Virginia or the ability to qualify for licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
  • Eligibility for permanent employment in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Earned or eligible to earn Certificate of Additional Qualifications from the American Board of Radiology.
  • Special interest or skills in acute care imaging and oncology.
