Key Responsibilities:

As a Retail Sales Specialist, you will:

  • Assist customers with product knowledge and recommendations in plant care and outdoor living merchandise.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that anticipates and exceeds expectations.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
  • Provide expert advice on the care of various plants and gardening supplies.
  • Stay informed about seasonal schedules and local gardening practices.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of merchandise, including watering and fertilizing.
  • Utilize manufacturer catalogs to assist customers effectively.
  • Operate cash registers and manage cash handling procedures accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales and storage areas.

Qualifications:

No prior experience is necessary; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. You should be able to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions.
