Job Description:

Customer Service:
Bartenders are expected to deliver friendly and attentive service to customers, making recommendations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring their overall satisfaction.
Inventory Management:
Bartenders should maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring that the bar has sufficient supplies, including liquor, beer, and snacks. This involves tracking stock levels, ordering replenishments as needed, and preventing overstocking or understocking.
Cash Handling:
Bartenders are responsible for handling cash transactions, balancing cash drawers, and closing out payments efficiently. They must also adhere to check and cash handling procedures to prevent errors and ensure accuracy.
Cleaning:
Maintaining a clean and organized bar area is crucial, involving tasks such as washing glasses and utensils. Bartenders should also take initiative to keep the surrounding areas tidy.
Safety:
Bartenders have a critical role in ensuring customer safety, verifying the age of patrons and monitoring their alcohol consumption. They should refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive individuals to prevent harm.
Other Duties:
Bartenders may also set up, operate, maintain, and close the bar, as well as train new staff members. These responsibilities require strong organizational and communication skills.
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position at Havana Heights Cuban Restaurant is between $25,000 and $40,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
