Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Cashier Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers through the achievement of Food Lion's customer service standards.
  • Smile and engage customers to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
  • Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt-unload items for ease of bagging.
  • Check the bottom of every cart and under all baby seats for items before completing an order.
  • Follow correct bagging procedures for the correct use of bags by type.
  • Scan customers' orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
  • Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers per service standards.
  • Check prices quickly and accurately.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Benefits: Food Lion offers a competitive salary range between $15.00 - $22.50 hourly.
