As a key member of our behavioral health services, you will have the opportunity to work with children and young adults with diverse needs, including those with neurodevelopmental disabilities, behavioral problems, autism, and other diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify children's strengths and challenges, and develop personalized treatment plans to promote their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Collaborate with our team of experts, including pediatric psychologists, mental health therapists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to children and families.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address children's behavioral, emotional, and cognitive challenges, and provide ongoing support and guidance to families.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in pediatric psychology and related fields.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
- State of Iowa Licensed Psychologist or Provisional Psychology License (Postdoctoral applicants accepted).
- Two years or more of licensed practice preferred.
- Experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, and trauma-informed practice experience in intellectual testing, cognitive and aptitude testing, autism diagnostics, and mental illness diagnostics preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
