Position Overview:

We are excited to present a full-time opportunity for a Special Education Teacher (LBS1) with Soliant Education. This role is designed for a committed educator who is eager to support students in a diverse learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruction Delivery: Provide tailored, high-quality instruction to meet the unique needs of students with Autism and/or Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Classroom Management: Oversee a multi-needs classroom with a maximum of 8 students, assisted by 3-4 paraprofessionals to foster an effective learning atmosphere.
  • IEP Facilitation: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure that student goals are achieved and progress is tracked.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with paraprofessionals and other educational staff to deliver comprehensive support and ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Classroom Details:
  • Grade Levels: 4th to 6th Grade
  • Student Needs: Primarily focused on Autism and/or Intellectual Disabilities
  • Class Size: Maximum of 8 students
  • Support Staff: 3-4 paraprofessionals available in the classroom

Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Valid Special Education (LBS1) certification for Illinois.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities, ideally in a classroom setting.
