Job Summary

Catholic Charities West Michigan is seeking a skilled Therapist I - Outpatient Abuse Prevention Specialist to join our team. This role will provide direct provision of therapy, counseling, and educational services to individuals, couples, families, and groups within the Behavioral Health program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling, psycho-educational services, screenings, and/or psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments per licensure capacity.
  • Coordinate client services and maintain client records.
  • Participate in mental health and substance use disorders development activities.
  • Drive for Agency business.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of three years experience in therapy or related experience is strongly preferred.
  • State of Michigan certifications or licensure as specified per program.
  • Certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Specialist with the Forensic Training Institute is preferred.
  • Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals and Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certificate of MCBAP CAADC Development Plan required if providing Substance Use Disorder Services.
Benefits
  • $5,000 signing bonus - split between your first full paycheck and after your 9-month work anniversary.
  • Wage Range: $55,000-$65,000 annually.
