Job Overview

New Beginnings Detox & Recovery is seeking a skilled Primary Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, guiding them through the recovery process.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, taking into account each client's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Coordinate and arrange services for clients, including psychological, medical, and vocational support.
  • Monitor client attendance and ensure participation in scheduled services.
  • Address and resolve client behavioral issues promptly and document outcomes.
  • Respond to client concerns and grievances, reporting to the CEO as necessary.
  • Ensure proper discharge planning and provide community resources to clients.
  • Be available for crisis management and handle clinical emergencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology or a related field (preferred).
  • Valid Certification or State License to practice in California.
  • Ability to assist physically and mentally during emergencies.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and appropriate documentation.
  • Current TB screen, Health Screening, and CPR/First Aid Certification.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional clinical hospitality and customer service to clients.
