Field Surveyor

GPD Group is seeking a highly skilled Field Surveyor to join our Survey team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys, utilizing cutting-edge survey technology, and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality results.

• Conduct field surveys, utilizing traditional methods and newer technologies such as UAV and LiDAR.
• Collect and analyze geospatial data, preparing surveying documents and researching past survey maps and deeds.
• Collaborate with project teams to complete project scope and schedule on time and within GPD's quality standards.

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Survey/Civil Engineering Technology a plus.
• 3-5 years' experience in the Survey industry, primarily in the field.
• General proficiency in AutoCAD or other drafting software, with a willingness to expand on drafting skillset in the office.
• Ability to work independently in the field and interested in training on survey basemapping.
• Experience with Laser Scanning and UAS technologies a plus.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment.
• Ability to work 8-10 hours outdoors under various field conditions with exposure to heat, cold, and other possible adverse conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of equipment from work truck to site for surveying use.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
