The HR Advisor plays a crucial role in fostering and maintaining effective relationships with management and leadership while overseeing the human resources functions at the designated location.

This position utilizes HR knowledge and experience to offer sound advice, guidance, and collaborative solutions that empower the organization to meet its objectives.

In collaboration with the HR Business Partner, this role aids in the formulation and implementation of project plans and the delivery of HR services that align with HR strategies and business goals, including but not limited to:

  • Talent Acquisition: Develops strategies to ensure optimal talent selection to fulfill business requirements. This may involve creating a tailored recruiting approach in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team and participating in the hiring process for hourly associates.
  • Consultation and Compliance: Provides guidance and interventions as needed to ensure alignment with HR strategies, policies, and procedures. Offers initial recommendations for enhancements to HR programs based on organizational feedback and data.
  • Professional Development: Encourages personal growth and offers developmental opportunities by seeking and acting on performance feedback, fostering open communication, and mentoring associates to enhance their skills.
  • Performance Management: Collaborates with leadership and HR Business Partners to address performance challenges and trends, diagnosing issues and recommending solutions to bridge performance gaps.
  • Strategic Planning: Works with supervisors to align business strategies with people strategies, contributing to the development of initiatives that enhance organizational performance.
  • Administrative Oversight: May oversee HR-related expenses and ensure accurate financial documentation, support workers' compensation claims, and promote employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications Required

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • 4 years of experience managing confidential employee information
  • 3 years of experience in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Experience in a retail or supply chain environment
