Position Overview
Under general supervision, the Physical Therapist provides essential therapy services by assessing patient needs, establishing goals, and creating comprehensive treatment plans in alignment with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate proficiency in treating diverse patient populations within the acute care environment.
Educational Requirements
Possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, with a focus on acute care settings.
Essential Skills
- In-depth knowledge of physical therapy principles, methodologies, and regulations.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Competence in evaluating patient functionality, crafting treatment strategies, and tracking patient advancements.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage patient scheduling efficiently.
- Proficiency in standardized testing methods to enhance documentation.
- Exceptional customer service aptitude.
- Capability to maintain an average caseload in line with productivity benchmarks.
- Expertise in managing at least two high-risk patient demographics.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current Maryland Physical Therapist license.
- CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers.
