Senior Carpenter

This position plays a crucial role in providing operational support for clients in reconstruction efforts. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple projects, train junior team members, and possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

• Identify potential project issues and seek guidance as needed
• Train and mentor junior carpenters in various aspects of their job
• Provide expert advice on project-related matters and direct complex questions to senior personnel
• Implement containment measures to minimize construction-related hazards
• Construct metal-framed walls, acoustical ceilings, and repair/replace roofing as required
• Utilize specialized tools and BELFOR methods to perform tasks related to flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling
• Develop expertise in identifying insulation types, thickness, and R-values
• Apply knowledge of trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, acoustical ceilings, roofing materials, and exterior siding to daily tasks
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain equipment in good condition
• Ensure attention to detail and adherence to BELFOR standards for safeguarding client property
• Provide exceptional customer service and work under time constraints to meet project deadlines
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and participate in BELFOR-sponsored training courses

• Oversee unskilled labor, junior carpenters, and occasional subcontractors in various settings
• Answer basic questions about the project and direct more complex inquiries to senior personnel
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks and perform emergency services as needed
