Job Title: Lifeguard

At Goldfish Swim School - Westford, we're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility and act immediately to secure their safety in the event of an accident or emergency.
  • Communicate the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Ensure that medical services are contacted by the most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency.
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility as directed/assigned.
  • Assist with closing and securing the facility.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work with children.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Education/Experience:

We prefer a High School Student with Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certifications. Prefer 6 months experience as a lifeguard at an aquatic facility or camp.

Certifications: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required and must be current. We can provide certification to qualified candidates.

Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
