Chamberlain University is seeking a qualified Clinical Faculty member to join our team in the Adult Health/Medical-Surgical program. As a Clinical Faculty member, you will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
- Teach and supervise nursing students in a clinical setting, providing direct supervision and evaluation of student performance.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
- Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments, including planning clinical experiences and developing written clinical assignments.
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- May teach didactic course content under the supervision of a course coordinator.
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean, with direct oversight provided by a course coordinator.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in adult health/medical-surgical nursing, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a clinical setting and provide feedback to students in a timely and constructive manner.
