As the largest healthcare provider in central and southern Delaware, Bayhealth encompasses Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, and Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, along with a freestanding Emergency Department in Smyrna and various urgent care facilities.

We are seeking dedicated *Registered Nurses of all experience levels* to deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, emphasizing quality and safety.

Professional nursing practices, which necessitate specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills, are executed in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and nursing philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct, professional nursing care to a designated patient population in an acute care environment.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their caregivers regarding treatment plans.
  • Implement nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff.
  • Exhibit standards of excellence, practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and integrity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care activities.
Qualifications:
  • Nursing Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be obtained within 36 months of hire, if not already held.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program/university and hold a Registered Nurse credential.
  • Open to Registered Nurses of all experience levels, including new graduates.
