Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Store Greeter at Kroger. As a Store Greeter, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their shopping trip.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by acknowledging customers as they enter and exit the store, answering questions, and assisting with deactivation of electronic article surveillance devices.
  • Store Operations: Monitor the Greeter Kiosk, manage the store's entry and exit areas, and direct customers to registers when necessary.
  • Asset Protection: Respond to activations of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems, assist customers with deactivation of EAS devices, and direct communication with district Asset Protection (AP) managers/specialists to report suspicious behavior.
  • Communication: Answer customer questions concerning the location of items or sections within the store, and direct customers to the correct areas.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other associates to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desired Qualifications: Ability to speak a second language, knowledge of Kroger policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
