Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ascension. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from physical, emotional, and cognitive deficits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, and cognitive deficits.
  • Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patients' needs.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and technicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy required.
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
