Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Technician VI to join our team at the State of Hawaii. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of human resources principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and participate in the performance of substantive human resources clerical work, including tasks of a novel and/or unusually complicated nature.
  • Independently perform the full range of technical human resources work, including tasks such as preparing procedures and guidelines, advising subordinates, and monitoring workload.
  • Recommend changes in procedures and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of human resources operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on human resources-related matters.
Requirements
  • One year of progressively responsible general office clerical experience.
  • Four years of experience in an office where the work required the knowledge and application of pertinent human resources rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Supervisory aptitude, which is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
