BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

HIGH SCHOOL

Hours 10:00am-6:00pm

The Town of West Springfield is in search of a dedicated individual to assume the role of full-time Building Maintenance Technician.

Under the general oversight of the Director of Central Maintenance, this position is responsible for the cleaning and routine upkeep of the school facilities within West Springfield.


Key Responsibilities


This role involves performing general cleaning tasks including the maintenance of windows, floors, and furniture, as well as washing and polishing floors, cleaning carpets, conducting minor repairs, painting, snow removal, and other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Essential requirements for this position include:

completion of a standard grade school curriculum, possession of a valid drivers' license, and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as a custodian in a comparable role.

Previous education or training in vocational institutions, or graduation from high school is preferred.

Alternatively, any equivalent combination of training and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered at the discretion of the Town.
