Role Overview

As a paraprofessional, you will collaborate with licensed educators to provide essential support tailored to the academic, self-care, and social/behavioral needs of students. Your involvement will be crucial in fostering a positive learning environment, whether working with students individually or in small groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support licensed educators in classroom activities
  • Assist students in achieving their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Facilitate learning for individuals and small groups during lessons
  • Provide assistance to students experiencing crises
  • Employ diverse teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $22, paid weekly

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or completion of ParaEducator Assessment during onboarding (provided by Zen Educate), or 60 college credits or more
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Professional proficiency in English is required
  • Must possess US Work Authorization; sponsorship for employment visas is not available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Behavioral Technician or PCA working with children
  • Previous experience in a school environment with special needs children
