Job Title: Nursery Worker

Job Summary:

Bachman's Inc is seeking a skilled Nursery Worker to join our team. As a Nursery Worker, you will be responsible for manually planting, cultivating, and harvesting vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops. You will use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Your duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, unloading and loading harvested products.

Responsibilities:

* Plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops
* Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives
* Perform duties such as tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, unloading and loading harvested products

Requirements:

* 3 months experience working in agriculture
* Ability to perform physical job duties outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for 8-10 hours per day
* Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis
* Ability to work with plants in a farm setting and work adjacent to or with nursery equipment, agricultural chemicals, and other related agricultural activities

Schedule:

* 40 hours per week
* 0-15 overtime hours per week
* 8-10 hours per day
* 7:00 am to 4:00 pm plus extended hours and Saturdays as needed
* Monday-Saturday
