Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Wellspring of Milwaukee. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and supporting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident care, including personal care, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse
  • Participate in collecting data for the MDS and plan of care
  • Prepare residents for meals and transport them to the dining room
  • Keep accurate records of food intake and output
  • Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas
  • Assist nursing staff with aseptic and sterile techniques
  • Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control
  • Promptly answer call lights and other resident needs
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state
  • Maintain CPR Certification
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Good communication skills and excellent self-discipline and patience
  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, making decisions quickly, and being subject to frustrations in meeting work demands due to frequent interruptions. You will be involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies, and other individuals under all conditions and circumstances.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

This role requires sitting, walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing/pulling. You must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
