Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering deliverables, calculations, systems, and equipment selection
  • Manage mechanical design, budget, and schedule
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors, customers, and Merrick personnel
  • Work with other engineering and technical personnel to ensure project goals are met
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Twelve (12)+ years of industry experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE within the first year of employment
  • Experience with Design/Build and EPC projects
  • Experience leading teams of engineers on design projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pipe stress analysis experience utilizing software such as CAESAR II
  • Significant experience designing and installing retrofits and upgrades at manufacturing and industrial facilities
  • HVAC and plumbing design for industrial facilities
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and B31.1, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel codes, PIP and API codes
