Key Responsibilities- Oversee engineering deliverables, calculations, systems, and equipment selection
- Manage mechanical design, budget, and schedule
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors, customers, and Merrick personnel
- Work with other engineering and technical personnel to ensure project goals are met
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Twelve (12)+ years of industry experience
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE within the first year of employment
- Experience with Design/Build and EPC projects
- Experience leading teams of engineers on design projects
- Pipe stress analysis experience utilizing software such as CAESAR II
- Significant experience designing and installing retrofits and upgrades at manufacturing and industrial facilities
- HVAC and plumbing design for industrial facilities
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and B31.1, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel codes, PIP and API codes
