Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technologist training program.
  • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire.
  • Or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 6 months of experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
