Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer Analyst I to join our team at Washoe County, NV. As a key member of our Technology Services department, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing new business processes and re-engineering existing ones within our information management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design new business processes and re-engineer existing ones within the context of commercially available or in-house developed information management systems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve business processes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide training to end-users.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the county's systems remain current and effective.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid driver's license required at time of appointment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GIS and cartography fundamentals.
  • Understanding of web-based GIS fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud-based GIS tools or platforms such as ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience with desktop-based GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro.
  • Understanding of or ability to write code in Python, Arcade, and SQL.
