Weiner Law is seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to join our probate litigation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for drafting legal documents, managing calendars, and providing exceptional client service. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering phone calls and maintaining our case filing system.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witnesses.
  • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems.
  • Coordinate law office activity, including drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers.
  • Prepare probate petitions and related documents.
  • Filing court documents.
  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of the case.
  • Ensure court deadlines are calendared.
  • Implement systems and procedures to ensure that cases progress smoothly.
Qualifications:
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar.
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree desired.
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of paralegal experience in the probate field.
