Bilingual Registered Nurse

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology team. As a per diem nurse, you will provide exceptional care to our Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide age-appropriate care to patients, considering their growth and developmental phase, as well as age-related factors such as thermal regulation, nutrition, and safety.
- Use appropriate resources to address patients with special needs, including language barriers, sensory problems, altered cognition, and cultural and religious needs.
- Ensure attention to patients' physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
- Perform clinical care in accordance with policy and procedure, adhering to the 5 rights of medication administration.
- Integrate principles of infection control and infection prevention into practice, using aseptic technique as appropriate.
- Prioritize and organize work effectively within assigned shifts.
- Assess and plan care for ante partum patients, maintaining patient safety through teaching and reinforcing diet and medication instructions.
- Coordinate plan of care for fetal therapy patients.
- Complete ACOG forms on all prenatal patients at initial visits and update as needed.
- Triage patient telephone calls and document in charts.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Pennsylvania RN License and CPR certification required.
