Lead Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at Tigg's Canteen Services in Allegan County Jail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, leadership, and team management. They will be responsible for overseeing meal preparations, leading a team of cooks, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of cooks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Prepare and cook meals according to company recipes and standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Develop and implement menu plans and specials.
• Monitor inventory and ordering of food and supplies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
• Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
