Job Title: CT Tech Non Certified

South Texas Health System is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Tech Non Certified to join our team. As a CT Tech Non Certified, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography exams, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all computed tomography exams in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Verify patient orders and ensure correct exam is performed.
  • Screen patients for contraindications to oral or IV contrast.
  • Interact with hospital staff and nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts.
  • Maintain performance skills and adhere to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
Qualifications:
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • 2 years prior Computed Tomography and/or Radiographer experience preferred.
  • Membership in related professional organization preferred.
  • Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in the State of Texas.
  • ARRT Certification (R) in Radiology (Technologists that are exempted from the ARRT certification must meet the requirement on Public Law -).
  • ARRT Certification(C) in Computed Tomography preferred.
Education, Training, and Experience:
  • Minimum experience of performing extremities, thorax, abdomen, spine, skull exams.
  • Familiarized with utilizing a C-Arm.
  • Able to be trained in Computed Tomography.
  • Able to operate a power injector.
  • Able to perform various parts of the body from head to lower extremities.
  • Familiarized with contraindications for contrast.
  • Able to utilize critical thinking to ensure the proper procedure is being performed.
