About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator II to join our operations team at Ad-vance Talent Solutions. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including slope mowers, tractor mowers, and other equipment, to maintain the city's stormwater infrastructure.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing stormwater systems, streets, and rights-of-way, using specialized equipment and tools.
  • Inspecting and reporting damage or defects in equipment and infrastructure.
  • Coordinating with other teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class B CDL Florida driver's license (preferred).
  • Current Florida Department of Transportation Approved Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Intermediate Certification or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Florida Stormwater Association Stormwater Operator – Level I or ability to obtain within twelve months.

Working Conditions:

You will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor for extended periods is essential.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
