Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated New Grad RN to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a New Grad RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and developing your skills as a professional nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: You will work alongside a coach to provide direct nursing care to patients, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Establish Priorities: You will establish and revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
  • Initiate Interventions: You will initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
  • Respond to Risks: You will respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
  • Seek Supervision: You will seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Comply with Policies: You will comply with established hospital and department personnel policies.
  • Communicate Effectively: You will use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Document Patient Care: You will document patient care in accordance with established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: You must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Certifications: You must have current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Work Experience: You must have new grad or less than one year RN work experience or if experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: You must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Physical Abilities: You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Follow Standard Precautions: You must follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
