About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team at GXO Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse operations, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Communicate with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Quality Management: Demonstrate an understanding of GXO's quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality, and safety.
  • Staff Development: Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively.
  • Operations Improvement: Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Citizenship: Must meet government and federal law program requirements, which requires U.S. citizen status.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
  • Availability: Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field.
  • Management Experience: 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
  • Process Improvement: Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience.
  • Warehousing Experience: Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
  • Safety Expertise: Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills.
